What is everyone running for line length and speed when wakeboarding. I am pretty new to the sport and wondering what everyone else is doing.
I'm not sure how calibrated my speedos are, but I am running 65' and around 21 mph right now.
Just curious what you pros are doing |

| It's a good start. Just run what's comfortable for you. Shorter the line the easier to clear the wake. Slower the speed, softer crashes. Learn the basics first. Wake to wake, riding switch, and just control and comfortability on the board. |

I run on a standard rope with no extensions (whats that 55 feet?) and usually at as close to 20 as possible without going below it.
Next rope we get though I am going to run one extension because our cleat is tearing the casing on our current rope so I will use one extension as an expendable buffer.
When I first started I was more or less scared to go above 20 and definitely not above 25. Now though I find that anything below 20 and the water doesn't feel hard enough. I had the boat slow down a little when I first started working on switch as well because of the comfort level.
Over all though for me the sweet spot is somewhere around 22mph so if the driver can keep the needle just above 20 I'm happy.
I would consider myself an intermediate-beginner level boarder. I am just getting comfortable more or less on switch and I can clear the wake regularly behind an old ski boat on my normal side so take my advice with a grain of salt. For my part I am glad to know that I have a similar setup to yours. |

| I just got a new 70' rope so I'll be riding that from now on. |
