<  Popular Places to ride around Portland  ~  Biggs Junction/Columbia River

We are planning a trip out to Maryhill State Park (it's on the Washington side of the Biggs Bridge)-- there's a boat launch there onto the Columbia, supposedly good boating in that area. Does anyone know if this is a good place to boat/wakeboard, etc? Sandbars or rocks to be aware of? Thanks for any info.
